Boo in the Zoo is about to get started at the Greenville Zoo near downtown Greenville, SC. Boo in the Zoo is a local annual favorite here in Greenville that offers families and children a safe environment where they can come for a scare-free Halloween Trick-or-Treat event.
Members of the Greenville Zoo have access to two special “Members Only” Boo in the Zoo Trick-or-Treat events. The first is on Friday October 15, 2010 and the second is the following Friday October 22. Adults receive free admission to the event and it costs $4 for children. The “Members Only” events are from 5:30pm until 8pm.
Boo in the Zoo is open to the general public for Trick-or-Treating on October 16-17 and on October 23-24, 2010. These Saturday and Sunday Halloween Trick-or-Treat events will run from 4pm until 8pm. For the public events, adult admission is $3 and children admission is $5.
Both children and adults are encouraged to dress up in costume for the Halloween events. Boo in the Zoo has been a lot of fun in recent years and some of the costumes that the kids wear are very creative. You can tell some of the moms make the costumes for the kids, which I think is great. Although, there is nothing funnier than a group of little kids all ending up in the exact same Halloween costume bought from a store. That didn’t really happen too often Trick-or-Treating on Halloween when I was a kid. They also didn’t have great events like this at the Greenville Zoo, but the world seemed like a safer place back then.
